Police identify 2 killed in apartment

Police suspect foul play in deaths of David Pichosky, Rochelle Wise

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. ā€“ Hallandale Beach Police identified two people, a couple visiting South Florida from Canada, who were found dead inside an apartment on Thursday night, calling it a double homicide.

Neighbors found the bodies of David Pichosky, 71, and his wife, Rochelle Wise, 66, at the Venetian Park apartment complex at 926 Northeast 25th Avenue.

"I was traumatized last night. I couldn't believe it," said Gloria Gross.

The couple lives part-time in Toronto, where Pichosky works.

Neighbors told police they hadn't seen the couple and grew concerned, so they used a spare key to enter their apartment and found their bodies.

Neighbors said the two are snowbirds from Canada and have a daughter who lives in New York. They last saw them a few days ago after the family paid a visit for the holidays.

"They looked like they were having a really good time," said Gross.

"They were very friendly and so nice," said Amparo Rabin.

One man said nothing similar had happened in the 20 years he had lived in the community.
