Police search for Alzheimer's patient

HIALEAH, Fla. -

Hialeah Police are looking for a 79-year-old man who suffers from Alzheimer's disease.

Luis Ferrando was last seen in the parking lot of the Presidente Super Market at West 16th Avenue and 84th Street in Hialeah about 1:20 p.m. Monday.

Ferrando drove away in a white 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Florida tag W187SG. Police believe he is with his dog, Penny, a white poodle.

Ferrando is described as standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds with grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a short sleeve, white and blue striped button down shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call police at 305-687-2525.
