The 12-year-old daughter of Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is home after she was released from Miami Children's Hospital Sunday evening, the senator's office announced Monday morning.
Amanda Rubio was airlifted to Miami Children's Hospital Saturday after she was involved in a golf cart accident.
According to a statement released Monday morning, she is recuperating from a concussion.
Amanda's condition has stabilized and she should improve in the coming days.
"Her prognosis is good and she is expected to make a full recovery. Senator and Mrs. Rubio are grateful for the many messages of support and prayers for their daughter. And they are grateful to the Miami-Dade Fire Department and the staff at the Pediatric Trauma Center at Miami Children's Hospital for their excellent care," the statement said.
The Republican senator rushed to his daughter's side after he was notified of the accident while coming off stage after a rally with GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney Saturday afternoon.
