COCONUT GROVE, Fla. -

Coconut Grove hosted a Compatriots' Day to raise money for the victims of the Boston bombings.

Participants gathered Saturday at the Florida Running Company. A post-run event was held at noon at Sandbar & Grill.

Compatriots' Day runs were held in several different cities, directed by Play Hard Play Social chapters.

The group issued the following statement:

"We will be running in honor of all those affected by the horrific tragedy at the Boston Marathon. Let's run for all those who couldn't finish the race and help those who need help staying positive.  Let's show everyone that we all care!  This could have affected so many people that you know."

All of the proceeds will be donated to the One Fund Boston. To donate, click here.
