Video captures Subway robbery

BSO: Armed man cuts in front of woman, takes cash from register

TAMARAC, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office released surveillance video of an armed man cutting in front of a woman holding a 2-year-old child as he robbed a Subway restaurant in Tamarac.

The robbery happened at 4601 NW 31 Avenue on Dec. 5.

The video showed the man, wearing a black cloth over his face, cut in front of the woman and reach over the counter to grab cash from the register. He then ran off.

The robber is described as being in his 30s, standing about 6 feet tall, and weighing about 220 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and dark pants.

Witnesses followed the robber to the area of NW 44 Street near Boyd Anderson High School, where they lost sight of him in the duplexes there.
