Woman dies after gold chain theft at truck stop

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies release more surveillance video in a gold chain theft that ended with a woman near death.

WESTON, Fla. -

The woman injured in a robbery at the Seminole Truck Stop died Friday night, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Kimberlyn Clarke never recovered from the injuries she suffered on September 20, during a Jamaican Night at the stop on U.S. 27 in Weston.

On Friday, BSO released new surveillance video of the suspect believed to have caused the attack that left her brain dead. The video shows the thief inside a truck stop convenience store about two hours before the robbery. In it, he is wearing a 2012 Ralph Lauren t-shift with the American flag on the front.

Other surveillance video shows the same man unleashing pepper spray on a crowd. He then snatches a man's gold chain from his neck.
