Police are asking for help identifying a woman captured on surveillance video walking to the back of an apartment where a Canadian couple was found murdered.
Neighbors found the bodies of David Pichosky, 72, and Rochelle Wise, 66, inside the couple’s condominium at the Venetian Park townhouse complex on NE 25th Avenue on Jan. 10.
Hallandale Beach Police say video shows a woman carrying an item and walking to the rear of the couple's apartment on Jan. 9.
"We see this individual, she appears to be a female, blonde hair in a ponytail, black jacket, grey pants," said Hallandale Beach police captain Sonia Quinones. "She's holding something in her hands and she's walking right alongside the Pichosky/Wise residence. She walks toward the rear. She spends a little bit of time there."
The woman then walked back to the front of the apartment empty handed.
"She's coming back from the Pichosky/Wise residence, and at this point, she's walking away along the waterway, along the dock area in between the two residences. Right now, she's not holding anything in her hands," said Quinones. "We want to know: Who is she? Why is she there? What was she holding?"
"When you show this to residents, what do they tell you?" asked Local 10 Crime Specialist John Turchin.
"They don't know who she is," answered Quinones. "Does she live here? Does she live in Canada? Does she not know live in the area? They definitely know she does not live in that community."
"Doesn't work there? No one they've seen?" said Turchin.
"No one has seen her before," said Quinones.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Hallandale Beach Police Department at 954-457-1438. Broward Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information in the case.
