Police: Pembroke Pines woman arrested after patient suffered adverse reaction to Botox injection

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A Pembroke Pines woman is accused of practicing cosmetic surgery without a license.

Alejandra Tobon was arrested Wednesday at her home. She faces a third-degree felony charge of practicing medicine without a license.

Pembroke Pines police said they were tipped off by a former patient who suffered an adverse reaction after Tobon administered a Botox injection in December.

Police said Tobon was performing unlicensed cosmetic procedures in her garage, which was converted to look like a doctor's office.

Among the procedures police said Tobon was performing were Botox injections, filler injections, vitamin injections and plasma therapy.

Police believe there may be other victims.
