Police say star football player had assault rifle, ammo in SUV at Miramar High School

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A 19-year-old senior at Miramar High School walked silently out of the main Broward County jail Wednesday morning, shielding his face from the television news cameras.

Anthony Barrow was released on $1,000 bond after his arrest Monday, when police said the star offensive lineman brought a high-powered assault rifle to school.

Police said the rifle was found under the seat of a 1997 Ford Expedition that he parked in the student parking lot, Police said they also found two fully loaded magazines in the seat.

Barrow is required to wear an ankle monitoring device. He has been suspended from school.
