Armed robber sought after holding up Dania Beach IHOP

Deputies say gunman got away in gold car after stealing cash

DANIA BEACH, Fla. – Deputies are investigating after a waitress was allegedly robbed at gunpoint while working the midnight shift at a Dania Beach IHOP.

Mcquell Pratt, 33, was working her shift as a waitress at the IHOP at 1:54 a.m. on Aug. 22 when deputies said she was confronted by a man wearing long-sleeve shirt and a baseball cap.

As he approached, the man showed Pratt the gun he had in his waistband and told her to give him the money, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Pratt handed over the cash and the gunman quickly fled in a gold car.
