Baby dropped off at Davie firehouse

DAVIE, Fla. -

A baby boy was left at a Davie firehouse around 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon, according to police.

On Friday morning, a photo of the child was released as police search for his parents.

The child, who appears to be between 6 and 9 months old, was dropped off at Firehouse #38, located at 6901 Orange Drive.

Police say he is in good health, but was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Officers say they do not believe there was any criminal intent in the case.

Police are seeking information about the child. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Davie Police Department at 954-693-8200 or Crime Stoppers.
