MARGATE, Fla – The Margate Police Department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a canal Friday afternoon.
The Margate Fire Department dive team discovered the body of 34-year-old Christopher Lopez in a canal located on the east side of the 1300 block of Banks Road.
The Broward County Medical Examiner's Office went to the scene to assist with the investigation.
Lopez's cause of death remains unknown and there were no signs of foul play.
