MIAMI – The body of a South Carolina man who disappeared Friday in South Florida while kayaking was found Sunday south of Port Everglades.
The U.S. Coast Guard said the body of David Lemonds, 47, was recovered from the water about 2:45 p.m. after a good Samaritan reported finding a body.
Lemonds' body was taken to the Broward County medical examiner's office.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating Lemonds' death.
