BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Boynton Beach Police now have their own brand new go-fast boat.

Marine officers hit the water Friday in the 32-footer, which was custom built by Contender Boats in Homestead.

The department brags the speedboat has twin Mercury Outboards and a deluxe t-top that was donated by Bluewater Towers in Boynton Beach.

Marine Officers will use the boat to patrol the inlet and Intracoastal waterways.

The boat was bought with money from the department's Law Enforcement Trust Fund, which consists of proceeds from seized property or currency.

The public named the boat 'Seazed Assets' during an online competition.
