BSO deputy hit by car, thrown from motorcycle

Deputy struck while attempting to conduct traffic stop

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – A Broward Sheriff's Office deputy was thrown from his motorcycle Tuesday after he was hit by a car while attempting to conduct a traffic stop.

BSO spokeswoman Dani Moschella told Local 10 News that the deputy was not injured in the crash at Northwest 31st Avenue and West Oakland Park Boulevard in Lauderdale Lakes.

Moschella said the driver of the car ran into the Cambridge Apartments nearby, while the owner of the car, who was also a passenger, stayed at the scene.

Deputies are still searching for the driver.
