BSO releases sketch of alleged sexual predator

Police: Girl attacked Wednesday near Hard Rock

DANIA BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office released a sketch of the man they say tried to grab a young girl near the Hard Rock Hotel Wednesday morning. The incident happened just northeast of the Hard Rock, south of Griffin Road, east of S.R. 441.

BSO is describing the man as a sexual predator. They say that around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, the man drove his car alongside a teenage girl.

When the victim tried to get away, deputies say he used his truck to pin her against the fence. He then allegedly grabbed and punched her in the face. Police say he then pulled her towards his truck and made her watch him perform a sex act on himself. The girl then used a key to hit the suspect in the face, before she was able to get away. The girl suffered minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Teens in the neighborhood say they were shocked when they heard the news. "It kind of scares me because I walk down here every single day," said Amy Behm.

Lizmarie Quezada also said she was surprised to hear the incident happened in an area where she walks to and from school every day.

BSO says they are looking for a white or hispanice man in his 40s with a tattoo on the left side of his neck that may resemble a triangle or a Roman numeral. He is balding, has yellow teeth and wore tan work clothes. The man drove a white Ford F-150, with either lawn or landscaping equipment in the back.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Broward Sheriff's Office.
