OAKLAND PARK. Fla. – A skateboarder was taken to the hospital Tuesday after a crash involving a marked Broward Sheriff's Office vehicle.
It happened about 6 a.m. at the intersection of Andrews Avenue and Commercial Boulevard in Oakland Park.
A skateboard, towel and shoes were scattered throughout the intersection.
Traffic was backed up in the area as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The extent of the injuries to the skateboarder were not known. The deputy driving the car was not hurt.
