Jennifer Warsaw pawned jewelry due to drug addiction

SUNRISE, Fla. – Sunrise police have arrested a woman who admitted to stealing over $32,000 worth of her mother's jewelry.

Jennifer Warsaw stole multiple items from her mother's bedroom between May of 2014 and June 24, 2014.

According to the police report, Warsaw, 37, stole items such as a 4-karat diamond ring valued at $15,000 and a diamond and sapphire white gold bracelet valued at $6,000.

Warsaw says she pawned off the jewelry to finance her drug addiction.

Warsaw's mother, Ilene Warsaw, 70, was interviewed by Sunrise police and stated that she wanted to pursue charges against her daughter.

Warsaw was arrested on Tuesday and charged with larceny between $10K and $50K from a person 65 years or older. She was booked on $3,500 bond.
