Deerfield Beach swimming instructor accused of molesting 2 girls

Francisco De Aragon inappropriately touched students during swimming sessions, BSO says

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – A Deerfield Beach swimming instructor is accused of sexually abusing two 6-year-old girls.

Francisco De Aragon, 26, was arrested Wednesday on two counts of sexual battery on a minor and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation on a minor.

According to a Broward Sheriff's Office report, De Aragon placed his hand inside the waistband of the girls' bathing suits and inappropriately touched them during back-to-back swimming sessions Tuesday at the Deerfield Beach Aquatic Center.

De Aragon also touched one of the girls' buttocks during the session, the report said.

Both girls, who attend different schools and didn't know one another, told their parents later that day, the report said.

De Aragon, who also worked as a lifeguard, has been fired.

Deerfield Beach employment records show De Aragon previously worked as an aquatics coordinator at the Boca West Country Club and as an enrollment adviser at Obridge Academy in West Palm Beach.

Detectives are trying to determine if there are any additional victims.
