A 2-year-old lab mix is recovering after being shot in the leg Tuesday morning.
The dog, Princess, was near a 26-year-old man and a 16-year-girl in the area of Northwest 34th Street and 14th Avenue when they were shot. While the girl was killed, the man and the dog survived.
When Princess was found, her leg was bleeding.
Miami-Dade Police Sgt. Garret Wing brought the dog to Knowles Animal Hospital. She likely needs several surgeries that will cost close to $10,000.
Anyone who would like to donate to Princess' surgeries can do so by donating to PayPal account MDL@KnowlesAnimalClinics.com or by calling Knowles Animal Clinic at 305-649-1234.
