SZEGED, Hungary – A team from South Florida is battling in an international competition, all the way over in Hungary.
We are talking about the 11th World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in Szesged, Hungary.
Nine paddlers from the local Puff Dragon team have been racing all week long, and the finals are this weekend.
The team normally practices in South Florida's Intracoastal Waterway.
The paddlers reported from Hungary that they are in a tight race with both Canada and China for the prestigious Nation's Cup, which is the point trophy for the premier division.
