A 50-year-old woman was taken to the hospital Thursday after officials say she lost control of her SUV and hit a curb, causing it to flip and crash into a tree.
Miami Fire Rescue crews responded before 5 p.m. Thursday to an overturned SUV, located at Northwest 14th Street and 42nd Avenue.
The driver was traveling southbound on Northwest 42nd Avenue when authorities said she lost control of her vehicle. The impact caved in the center of the roof, just narrowly missing the driver.
Officials said the woman was not seriously injured, but was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
There were no other vehicles involved.
