Elderly man shot in leg while walking dog in Boynton Beach

An elderly South Florida man was shot while walking his dog early Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened in the 3200 block of Orange Street in Boynton Beach.
Boynton Beach police said the 80-year-old man was walking his dog when he noticed a white sport utility vehicle pull away from an abandoned house. That's when someone in the SUV shot the man in his leg.
The man was taken to a hospital but is expected to survive.
Police obtained video of the SUV from a nearby surveillance camera. It shows the SUV leaving the abandoned house at the time of the shooting.
