LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – A family of seven has been displaced after a house fire Sunday.
Firefighters say the fire was contained to a bedroom of the single-story home.
A 14-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy were home at the time.
The girl tried to put out the fire, her brother told Local 10, but they eventually just ran out the front door.
A neighbor donated a bag of clothes to the family.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but no injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
