NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla – Two people were shot and killed in Northwest Miami-Dade late Sunday night.
Miami-Dade police said they arrived at the scene at Northwest 62nd Street and 20th Avenue in Liberty City around 10:20 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two black men who had died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Two other victims, a man and a woman, were transported to the hospital. Police said the man, identified as 27-year-old Ricky Hudson, was shot multiple times and is listed in critical condition. The woman, who has not been identified, was grazed in the head and is listed in stable condition.
One of the men killed was identified as 21-year-old Charles Tyquavious. The identity of the other victim killed, who was in his 30s, has not been released pending next of kin notification.
Just two weeks ago two other men were killed and seven people were injured in a mass shooting nearby. At this time, police do not believe the two shootings are related.
