MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A man was arrested after he tried to rape a woman in the lobby of a Miami Beach apartment building, police said.
Frankie Moicon was arrested Sunday on charges of attempted sexual battery, battery on a person 65 or older and resisting arrest.

Miami Beach police said the man approached the woman in the entranceway to the building, grabbed her and threw her to the ground.
According to the police report, officers heard the woman's screams for help and rushed to her rescue, where they found Moicon standing on top of the woman with his pants around his ankles.
Officers ordered Moicon to the ground at gunpoint, but he refused, the report said.
One of the officers eventually took Moicon to the ground, but Moicon continued to fight with officers as they tried to handcuff him, the report said.
The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she received seven stitches for lacerations to her head.
