CORAL GABLES -

Students at George Carver Middle School are in a competition to earn $140,000 worth of technology for their school in Coral Gables.

The online contest is a part of Samsung's "Solve For Tomorrow" initiative, in which the company awards money to schools across the U.S. to help them raise interest in science technology, engineering, and math.

The students need more votes to win. So far, they have made it through the first three stages of the contest and are in line to win the money.
