MIAMI – The Miami Police Department collected a total of 79 firearms at Saturday's buy back program.
The operation was created in efforts to reduce gun violence and unnecessary injuries to Miami citizens.

Those who dropped off firearms received a gift certificate provided by the operation's partners and sponsors.
