Gun, knives seized at Fort Lauderdale Int'l

No guns were found at Miami Int'l Airport

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Screeners seized a gun and knives from carry-on luggage at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in the last week, according to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The TSA said screeners stopped the loaded 9mm automatic pistol you see in the above picture at a security checkpoint last Thursday.

No guns were seized at Miami International Airport in the last week.

The TSA also reported that they seized the two paring knives that you see in the above picture at FLL. The knives were concealed inside the lining of a passenger's bag.

In all, TSA screeners stopped 49 guns from making it onto flights across the country in the last week, 36 of those guns were loaded.
