Hialeah police: Georbel Rodriguez, Megan McNulty in burned-out car

Police identify remains found in burned-out car

HIALEAH, Fla. – Police identified a couple whose remains were found inside of a burned-out car.

Police found the remains of 25-year-old Georbel Rodriguez and 22-year-old Megan McNulty inside a Mercedes-Benz in the early morning hours of October 28. Surveillance video shows someone walking around the car, then igniting it.

"I just miss her so much and she didn't deserve what happened to her at all," said her sister, Phyllis T. McNulty.

"The only thing I can tell you is I have a hole in my chest and my heart is broken and my daughter is not here and I keep thinking she's coming home," added her mother, Phyllis McNulty.

Investigators say the couple was last seen together during the early morning hours of October 26 in Hallandale Beach and Hollywood.

While investigators aren't yet sure of the cause of death, they say there is evidence of gunshot wounds to both Rodriguez and McNulty.

Both have criminal pasts.

"Any little thing that you can give is to catch the monster who did this to these people," said McNulty's mother. "I just never thought in my life I'd ever have to go through this."

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Hialeah police at 305-687-2525 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
