Infant on cruise taken by Coast Guard to hospital

10-month-old baby having trouble breathing

MIAMI – A 10-month-old baby who was having trouble breathing Sunday while on a cruise ship was taken by the U.S. Coast Guard to Miami Children's Hospital.

The Coast Guard was notified by the hospital after being told about the infant in distress on the Enchantment of the Seas.

A Coast Guard rescue helicopter transported a medical team to stabilize the baby and then transported the infant to the hospital.
