FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Las Olas Boulevard drawbridge will be closed overnight each of the next two evenings for painting.
All lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Monday. The bridge will reopen at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured to Sunrise Boulevard via U.S. Highway 1, while westbound traffic will be detoured to Sunrise Boulevard via State Road A1A.
The work is part of a $5.8 million rehabilitation project that includes building new concrete decks, installing new pedestrian railings and repaving the bridge.
In the event of inclement weather, the work would take place overnight Wednesday through Friday.
