While no one was home in the house and all the human occupants were accounted for, the family dog was still missing.

After a search in what was described as "zero visibility" smoke conditions, firefighter Eric Perez found the unresponsive dog within the house.

Perez quickly brought the dog outside and began CPR and successfully revived the pet.

The dog was taken to an animal hospital and is said to be doing well.

As for the family, you can bet that this has already become a Thanksgiving to remember.
