Broward detectives search for thief who damaged ATM in Weston

WESTON, Fla. – A thief failed to steal cash from a bank in Weston but left damage behind in the attempt.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded after 8:30 a.m., on April 9, and found the damaged ATM in the drive-through area of the Chase branch at 4501 Weston Road.

On Wednesday, over a week after the crime, there was still yellow police tape over it. Nearby, at the Wells Fargo Bank, there was another ATM damaged.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
