Crash injuring 1 at busy intersection prompts street closure in northwestern Miami-Dade

Police officers block eastbound Northwest 79 Street

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A crash on Sunday morning prompted police to close off a busy intersection at the boundary of Miami-Dade County’s West Little River-Gladeview neighborhoods.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel reported one person was injured. A witness reported the driver T-boned
a woman who was ejected from the car.

Miami-Dade police officers blocked the eastbound lanes of Northwest 79 Street at 22 Avenue, near a 7-Eleven, a Family Dollar, a laundromat, and two gas stations.

There were pieces of light blue fabric and black debris on the street near where MDPD police officers paralleled parked the marked patrol cars to block the street. A driver in a Nissan parked nearby.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
