Low water pressure possible in parts of Miami-Dade County

Department begins repair work on 54-inch water main in Hialeah

MIAMI ā€“ County officials say parts of Miami-Dade County may see lower than normal water pressure because of repair work being done by the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department.

The county says the department began repair work on a 54-inch water main on West Fourth Avenue in Hialeah, also known as Red Road, between West 20th and 25th Streets.

The work will result in lower than normal water pressure for the west side of Miami-Dade County, including the cities of Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens and Miami Lakes for the next 10 to 15 days, according to the county.

The department is requesting that customers conserve water usage during the high peak hours of the early morning and evening hours when the demand is greatest.
