Man accused of stabbing girlfriend multiple times found in southwest Miami-Dade County

Police: Jorge Borda, 33, stabbed girlfriend, assaulted driver after hit-and-run crash next day

MIAMI – A man accused of stabbing his 21-year-old girlfriend multiple times last week was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted murder.

Police said they found Jorge Borda, 33, in the area of Southwest 113 Place and 109th Street, in Kendall.

According to the arrest report, Borda entered his girlfriend's home last Wednesday while she slept and stabbed her. She was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said Borda was involved in a hit-and-run accident the following day in which he assaulted the driver of the other vehicle involved.

The victim told police Borda pointed a gun at him and said, "If you follow me, I'll shoot you."

Borda is facing multiple charges in both cases, including attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm and harassment.
