Police told Local 10 News that Philidor may have also been involved in the burglary of a rabbi's home in North Miami Beach March 4.

Rabbi Eily Smith said he, his wife and his children were inside the house when the intruder entered through an unlocked door.

Smith said he woke up about 4 a.m. to study and get ready for work when he heard noises, ran out of his bedroom and startled the man.

"My reaction was, 'He must need something, like, food,'" Smith told Local 10 News. "My wife is very good and she would have fed him something, but then I realized he's a robber and I screamed."

Smith said the intruder "said goodbye" and then left with the rabbi's car. The Honda Civic was later found abandoned in a driveway a few blocks away.

The thief also got away with about $200 in cash, a computer, software and a portable DVD player.

Nobody was hurt in any of the burglaries.
