According to the police report, the couple had recently broken up after 12 years because of "mutual infidelity."

"Initially, he was caught cheating and then she cheated on him," the report said.

In an interview with detectives, Pierre told them that he drove to her house to talk to her, but the conversation eventually became heated.

Limousin said Brown, 41, told him that "she was going to meet her new man as soon as he left," the report said.

Soon after, Limousin lost control and attacked Brown, using a knife from the kitchen to stab her, the report said.

Although Limousin didn't provide specifics on the attack, he told detectives "that he thought she was still alive when he left because she was wheezing," the report said.

Limousin then ransacked the home, placed the knife in a bag and drove off, throwing the knife out of the car window, the report said.

Police said the knife was later found on Miramar Parkway east of the crime scene.

Limousin is being held without bond on a charge of premeditated murder.
