A 13-pound tumor has successfully been removed from a man's face.
Stefan Zoleik, from Slovakia, has been living with a rare condition called Madelung disease, which caused fat fibers to grow uncontrollably across his face, according to Reuters.
A tumor developed, which stretched across the lower portion of his face, below his chin and from ear to ear.
"Everybody was turning and looking at me, it was very unpleasant," he told Reuters.
Finally, after years of discomfort, Zoleik was able to undergo surgery to remove the growth. After working on him for five hours, doctors were able to remove the fatty tumor from Zoleik's face. His appearance drastically improved and he is currently still recovering from the surgery.
