Man in serious condition after hit-and-run crash in Hollywood

Victim taken to Memorial Regional Hospital

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Police are searching for a driver who struck a pedestrian in Hollywood and fled the scene early Wednesday morning.

A man was found lying on the ground in front of a home at 2517 Johnson St. shortly after 5 a.m.

The man, who appeared to be in his late 30s, was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators spent hours looking for clues at the scene.

A nearby resident said pedestrians being struck by cars are way too common on his busy street.

"I've seen three of them since I've lived here," Richard Bradford told Local 10. "I've lived here five months."
