Deputies said Brendon Bachelor was traveling westbound on Stirling Road approaching SW 110 Avenue at a high rate of speed.

Bachelor's 2013 Hyundai Sonata struck the raised concrete median with the driver's side tires. Authorities said the Sonata then traveled over the median into the eastbound lanes. Bachelor over-corrected, causing the vehicle to rotate clockwise.

The car again struck the raised curb, causing the car to roll over through the grass median. Deputies said the Sonata finally struck a tree and came to rest.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue arrived at the scene afterward. Deputies said Bachelor was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:13 a.m.

Investigators are working to determine what may have caused the accident.
