Man steals thousands of dollars at Deerfield Beach Walmart, deputies say

6 money pouches stolen while employee helped customer

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who stole several thousand dollars from a Deerfield Beach Walmart.

Surveillance cameras captured the thief in the act July 12 at the store on South Military Trail.

An employee left a cart full of money unattended for a moment while he helped a customer. That's when the man, who has a teardrop tattoo on his face, grabbed six of the 13 money pouches and ran.
