Man who fled after striking motorcyclist identified, Miami-Dade police say

Eladio Garcia accused of hitting Moshe Moll

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man accused of driving a stolen vehicle into a motorcyclist and fleeing has been identified by Miami-Dade police.

The hit-and-run crash happened Thursday night at Southwest 44th Street and 112th Avenue.

Moshe Moll was traveling north on Southwest 112th Avenue on his Yamaha motorcycle.

As Moll approached Southwest 44th Street, police said, Eladio Garcia, who was traveling south on Southwest 112th Avenue in a stolen Chevrolet Tahoe, turned left into Moll's motorcycle.

Garcia then fled from the scene and crashed into a home in the 4100 block of Southwest 107th Place, where he previously lived, police said. Garcia then ran off in an unknown direction.

Police said Moll, who suffered critical injuries, remains hospitalized. Investigators are asking for the public's help in finding Garcia.
