Masked gunmen enter through roof, rob check-cashing store

Detectives try to ID intruders who forced employee to open safe

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office detectives are trying to find two masked gunmen who robbed a check-cashing store by entering through the roof of the business.

The robbery occurred at Advance America in the 2100 block of State Road 7 in Boca Raton.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Teri Barbera said an employee was preparing to open the store when she was confronted by the intruders at gunpoint and ordered to open the safe.

The gunmen grabbed the cash and ran out the back door.

A surveillance photograph shows one of the robber's legs dangling above a desk inside the business, while surveillance video shows him fall through the ceiling panel.
