PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A Miami man faces multiple felony charges after detectives say he cashed fraudulent checks at banks throughout southwest Florida.
Collier County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Ricardo Rodriguez on multiple felony counts, including grand theft, uttering a forged instrument and scheme to defraud.

Rodriguez was at the Collier County jail, where he had been since his arrest on similar charges Wednesday in Naples.
Detectives say the checks were stolen from the mail at nearly a dozen businesses in Collier County.
They say the payees and dollar amounts were altered.
Rodriguez used several names and stolen identities to cash the checks, most of which were for $798.36, detectives say.
