Traffic homicide investigators with the Miami-Dade Police Department said Paul Louis, of Miami, died at the hospital Friday.

Authorities are still on the lookout for the driver who fled after striking Louis, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease, on Wednesday.

Local 10 spoke to Louis' wife, Mary Nicole, after the incident. She said he had just walked to the store to check his lottery numbers and was returning home.
