MIAMI – A 56-year-old woman from Miami who was reported missing after failing to return to work after taking a short break Thursday has been found safe.
Police said Maria Tejada-Barreto, who is a compliance control officer, was last seen about 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of West Flagler Street and Northwest 38th Court.

Police said Tejada-Barreto had taken a quick break to deposit money at a bank and never returned.
Tejada-Barreto was found and in good health Friday evening, Miami police said.
