Apparently, that's just as dangerous.

A mother in Texas who became sick and tired of her kids ignoring her calls took matters into her own hands and created an app that blocks their smartphones until they return the call.
The app, designed by Sharon Standifird, is called Ignore No More and it's very basic.
When using the app, parents lock a child's phone remotely. The child can then only call a number from a list of contacts that the parent has set up.
The child also has the ability to call 911.
Once the child has returned the call, the parent has the ability to return their phone to fully-functioning mode.
The app is currently only available for Android phones.
