Popular Stanley containers still safe to use after company says they contain ‘some lead’

Stanley tumblers are all over the place lately, now consumers are wondering if they are safe to use every day.

Stanley PMI said on its website the products contain a sealing material that uses “some lead” but that no lead touches any surface of any Stanley product, and the chemical does not come into contact with any beverage placed inside.

Stanley recommends consumers regularly clean their tumblers.

According to the company’s website, the company was founded in 1913 by inventor William Stanley Jr.

Stanley fused vacuum insulation and the strength of steel in one portable bottle, inventing the all-steel vacuum bottle. It now comes is several colors and has been going viral on social media.
